Kelling Estate Foods

We are proud to be part of the Kelling Estate, consisting of  2,250 acres of grounds dedicated to conservation, supporting the local community and offering visitors to the area a range of charming holiday properties. The Estate grows a vast variety of plants to help support the thirty beehives on the estate which belong to a local beekeeper and produce delicious honey sold in our very own Food hall.

We also offer specially selected Kelling Estate packaged teas and nostalgic sweets as the perfect foodie souvenirs or gifts.

Free From Range

We aim to make everyone’s visit special, we stock a wide selection of ‘free-from’ food and drink catering for different dietary requirements. The range includes everything from alcohol-free beer, gluten-free pasta, dairy-free chocolate, vegan products and more. Our Garden Terrace café also offers a selection of ‘free-from’ breakfasts, lunch and sweet treats to enjoy throughout your visit.

There are many foods for which Norfolk is famous, beyond Colman’s Mustard! There are Cromer crabs, mussels and samphire for seafood options, and then a whole range of cheeses, strawberries and even a selection of Whiskey. Norfolk is also known for having the most microbreweries in the country.

There are a whole variety of foods and drinks produced in Norfolk. When in season, asparagus is widely grown in Norfolk, and the local countryside is full of game birds and other delicacies such as venison. It’s also a little-known fact that the popular brand, Kettle Chips, are made just on the outskirts of Norwich.

North Norfolk is famous for its range of seafood options. To name a few, there are Brancaster Oysters, Brown Shrimps from Kings Lynn, Mussels from Wells-Next-The-Sea and of course, the delicious Cromer Crab.

There are many traditional foods and meals to come out of Norfolk over the years. Several varieties of cheese have been made locally for many years such as the Norfolk Mardler and Mrs Temple’s Cheeses. As well as this, Norfolk is known historically for its poultry production of Norfolk Black Turkey as leftover grains from the arable harvest were used to feed the birds.
