This really depends on the area that you are wanting to add shade to. If you are adding over a patio or dining area, choose a parasol with a canopy diameter that provides sufficient shade coverage over your furniture set. Remember to also look at the height and adjustability of the parasol to ensure that it comfortably fits in the area you have in mind.
